Media & Communication
The Media & Communications program is a comprehensive video production and film studies class in which students will learn how to operate state-of-the-art audio and video devices, video/film project planning (including script writing and storyboarding), video production, video and audio editing, lighting for video, and studio video production. Students will have the opportunity to watch and review both feature and short films and videos, write and produce dramatic, comedy, and documentary videos, record event location videos, and act as producer for local businesses and nonprofit promotional videos. The program prepares students to enter two or four-year college programs in the field of communication and to learn both technical and professional skills for entry-level employment in the field.
